Enrollment

Independence Enrollment

All students MUST have an enrollment application filled out by their school counselor.

Applications filled out by parents or student will no longer be accepted as of the 2022-23 school year.

All applications must include the student transcript (grades if K-8) attendance and discipline.

Counselors and School Staff

Applications can be obtained by going on the Community Share Drive under Independence School.  Once the application is completed, please save to your computer and email with the student's discipline, attendance and most current transcripts to

  ISapps@lodiusd.net

You may also print a copy and fax it with the required documentation to 209-331-8274

Students who apply for Independent Study are automatically placed on a waiting list.

Once a spot becomes available you will receive a call home with a date and time for the next available orientation.

Both the student and the parent/guardian are required to attend the orientation.

Once a student has attending orientation and been accepted into the program, they will be required to submit a current (within 30 days) proof of address and obtain a withdrawal sheet signed by the principal to take to their school to check out.

Students keep their district assigned Chromebooks but textbooks/ library books must be returned to the current school to attend Independence.

Very Important
Do not withdraw your student from their current home school until you have been instructed to do so.

Students with attendance issues are encouraged to review the attendance policy for the school district and Independence School before applying.

Three missed assignments and/or three missed days of attendance will constitute a drop from the Independence program where the student must return to their home school of residence and cannot return to Independence School for the rest of the year.
